For many years Traditional Masonry has been associated with the quality fabrication of granite worktops, marble worktops, granite cladding and a host of other granite & marble products. No matter the size of project we guarantee the same level of service, dedication, care and attention to detail that ensures the finished product exceeds your expectations. Below we have outline the three key steps to successful granite fabrication.

Step 1. Templating

This is used in the production of of products such as granite worktops, marble worktops, bathroom vanities and granite cladding. For example in the production of a granite worktop for your kitchen, this first step in the production of your beautiful granite worktop is perhaps the most important, before the granite worktop can be fabricated a template has to be produced This involves making an exact copy of your new or existing kitchen. At Traditional Masonry we do this by using Proliner our state of the art portable digitizing machine, which enables us to take accurate measurements of the units and the positions of sinks, hobs, and taps. From this Digital Snapshot we produce accurate CAD working drawings which allows us to extract the data required to program the CNC machinery used to manufacture the granite worktops. This Process ensures precise, accurate cutting and profiling of the granite.

Step 2 Fabrication

All our granite or marble worktops are manufactured in our own fully equipped factory, since our formation we have continued to invest in the latest machinery such as:

* Denver Bridge Saw which is programmable to 99 different stages and is capable of a variety of complex cutting operations.
* Intermac CNC processing centre that cuts and polishes sink holes, drainers and other ever more complex shapes to a standard that we believe cannot be equaled.
* Our dedicated 8 head edge polishing machine produces standard straight edges with a finish that others can only dream of.

These machines together with the skills of the time served stonemason and over 20 years experience of working with marble, granite and stone ensures our marble & granite worktops are produced to the standard expected of a bespoke product.

Step 3.Installation

The Finishing touch! Beautiful material and top class fabrication deserve a first rate installation. At Traditional Masonry we work to the standards set out in the Stone Federation code of practice for kitchen worktops. We pride ourselves in the skills and professionalism of our fitting teams who have recently returned from a series of training courses and seminars in the USA, where granite worktops in kitchens have been a standard for many years. The techniques of installation are more advanced, we have embraced these techniques along with the various tools used, as an aid to improve our already exceptionaly high standards and enhance our reputation both of which set us apart from the rest.
